About
Leander and Austin Texas Small Business Photographer + Videographer
Hey, I’m Abby — your go-to Austin Photographer for timeless, genuine moments.
I’m passionate about creating photos that feel like you. Whether it’s a proposal, wedding, or creative project, I focus on capturing natural emotion and real connection — the little in-between moments that tell your story best.
My Approach to Film and Photography
Photography is more than taking pretty pictures — it’s about connection. I want my clients to feel comfortable, seen, and celebrated, not an awkward posing fiasco where everybody looks and feels stiff after it’s over. Every session is a collaboration — I guide you through posing naturally so you can focus on being present, while I handle the details that make your story shine.

Abby Irvine

I capture stories all across Central Texas — from weddings and concerts to creative projects and events. Whether you’re looking for stunning photos or a full-length feature film, I’m here to bring your vision to life.

Beyond the Lens
A little bit more about me…
I love running, and have run three marathons so far — with plenty more on my bucket list! Running has become one of my favorite ways to clear my head, explore new places, and challenge myself physically and mentally. I think it connects a lot with photography too — both require patience, rhythm, and that deep appreciation for being present in the moment.
And of course, I absolutely love coffee. A good latte before a sunrise session is practically a creative ritual for me. I also love meeting new people (which is one of the many reasons I adore photography), spending time outside, traveling, exploring new places — especially in the warm state of Texas — and learning new skills. Lately, I’ve been learning to fly drones for aerial photography and videography, which has opened up such a fun new creative perspective. My boyfriend is also teaching me football because, apparently, I’m “not a true Texan” unless I know ball…
I’m originally from Michigan — the Upper Peninsula, to be specific — but after years of freezing winters, I realized I wasn’t built for 5+ months of gray skies and snow. I love sunshine way too much! So I packed my bags and headed south. After a brief stay in North Carolina, I made the move down to the great state of Texas to finally close the distance with my boyfriend. Honestly, it feels like everything lined up perfectly. Central Texas just feels right — warm weather, friendly people, and endless creative energy. Plus, winter days in the 70s? I’ll take that over shoveling snow any day.
Funny enough, I’ve been a little obsessed with Texas since I was a kid. I even went here for my senior trip with my family — so maybe it really was fate that I ended up calling it home. Now that I’m here, I feel so grateful to live somewhere that inspires me every single day. Between the golden-hour light, open fields, and vibrant city life, there’s never a shortage of beautiful backdrops or interesting stories to capture.
When I’m not behind the camera, I’m probably hanging out with my little crew at home — our golden retriever, Daphne, and our two guinea pigs, Chip and Dale (Disney fans, you get it!). I come from a close family back in Michigan — I’m the oldest of four, with two brothers and one sister — and they’re a big part of why I value connection and storytelling so much. Every time I shoot, I think about how these photos will live on with families for years, how they’ll become part of someone’s story the same way my own family memories mean so much to me.
Outside of work, I’m always looking for new places to explore, whether that’s a scenic trail, a small Texas town, or a cozy coffee shop with great vibes. If you ever have recommendations for fun places to stay or things to do around Texas, please let me know — my boyfriend and I are always looking for our next little weekend adventure.
At the end of the day, I feel incredibly lucky that photography lets me do what I love most: meet amazing people, explore beautiful places, and turn real, unscripted moments into something that lasts forever.
